That good old song of Wa-hoo-wah.

Founded in 1819 by Thomas Jefferson, the University of Virginia is a leading public university known for its student-run honor code, distinguished faculty and NCAA Division I athletics program.

Known as the Cavaliers, and familiarly, the Wahoos, the UVA student body and the university community is an integral part of Charlottesville.

Being just a stone's throw from Grounds, The Corner is woven into the college experience for most students. On any day of the week, UVA students shop, eat and relax at Corner establishments. In turn, business owners and merchants feel a deep connection to the history and traditions of UVA.

Corner merchants cater to the needs of students and their families, and provide a welcoming, reliable and safe business district for all Wahoos - present, past and future.
